Documenting a series of 2004-2005 concerts by this all-star band led by the trumpeter Randy Brecker, who also takes on some vocal duties, and the saxophonist Bill Evans, this double-CD set includes a variety of soul-jazz workouts, like the breakneck "Rattletrap" and the hot buttered funk of "Big Fun," as well as a gorgeously moody ballad in the shape of Brecker's "Let's Pretend."
